The Men's Resource Center of Green County, WI is a community run program for single homeless men who are residents of Green County. From November 1 to April 30 we offer a seasonal warming center open to residents. We are not a drop in shelter, there is an application process to be completed prior to entry. The Men's Resource Center operates year round however; during the off season emergency shelter is provided on a case by case need and is dependent on availability of overnight volunteer staff. The Men's Resource Center of Green County is a 501c3 public charity and operates under the direction of a 9 person Board of Directors.
We provide temporary shelter, meals and case management services to homeless men who are residents of Green County. A private staff quarters is provided for our over night volunteers with a double bed, couples are welcomed. Volunteers are responsible for opening the facility at 6:30 pm and remaining on site until 6:30 am. We have a comfortable TV lounge, kitchenette area, shower facility and onsite laundry. Volunteers are our overnight hosts and a program manager provides one on one case management services to help men in areas of employment, finances, transportation, housing and assistance programs. Can you provide one night a month to provide overnight volunteer staffing?
